The Coraline Experience
As part of the curriculum at UCI, designers are required to take a class where students are asked to work together to create a comprehensive pitch for an themed entertainment experience. In addition to a paperwork package including a worlds treatment and proposed budget, we were asked to create possible content for integration.

Below are a couple of my contributions: interactive portrait frames that play audio whenever a button is pressed. These provide background information for the narrative of the experience and directly connect it to our existing IP.

ShadowCast
I worked with a team in UCI's Informatics department to conceptualize a virtual reality experience combining aspects of gaming, karaoke, and musical theatre. At its core, the project was an avenue to explore emotional expression and nonverbal communication in VR/AR environments.
Below is a suite of preliminary assets I designed for the "selection" stage of the game where user choose their avatar and song before being loaded into the performance area. The concept for the audio was steampunk, but with an animated, less realistic character. For more information on the project, please click here.
Halloween LX
The following are results of collaborations between lighting designers and I as a part of an annual class project at UCI. The projects are fairly open-ended: the sound designers must create a piece a few minutes in length while the lighting designers must design and program the lighting for the live performance. As it takes place in late October every year, the theme is horror or Halloween.
