This adaptation of the beloved classic was quite the challenge! There were so many layers and pieces to this puzzle: the show was through-scored with sound, nearly all of it non-musical. The production drew inspiration from the childhood make-believe and commented on how modern technology could separate us from our sense of play.

 

Each cue in the show was complex, unique, and specific. I was inspired (as I am with most everything I design) by the cartoons that I watched as a kid and the video games that keep the youthful curiosity inside me alive today.
